As a running shoe and clothing company, it only makes sense that we should be quick to advise you that you absolutely do need to buy at least two or three pair of running shoes to train effectively. But do you really need more than one pair of good running shoes?Although you can certainly train with just one pair of shoes, conventional wisdom has always advocated that you can run better and more safely by having at least two pair in your shoe rotation.But, is conventional wisdom correct in this assertion? August 14, Falmouth, MA - Four Mizuno Athletes completed in the prestigious Falmouth Road Race. In the women's division, Clara Grandt, finished 10th (8th American) in a time of 38.18 which was over a minute faster than her time at Bix 7 two weeks earlier. Next for Mizuno was Megan Armstrong in 13th with a time of 38:25. Rounding out the Mizuno Women was Heidi Westover, in 27th place in 40:40. For the men, Luke Watson, placed 35 in 34.55. I like to race and I like to race a lot. In a good year, I’ll run 20-25 races all the way from road miles through the marathon. I haven’t actually won a race since high school, but I’ve been very lucky to have the chance to run in races all over the world from the Antarctic to the big-city marathons in world capitals to funky, little races like the Luling (Texas) Watermelon Thump 5-K.
Still, there’s nothing like running a race in the ancestral home of running: Boston. Usually, that means the marathon but I wasn’t ready for it this year. Fortunately...
