Rod Foley has been with Mizuno USA since 2000, having previously worked at Vertel's Chicago, one of the old school Running Specialty stores. Originally from Northern New Jersey, Rod graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors in Accounting. With that accounting degree, Rod went to work as a bean counter at the prestigious Arthur Andersen & Co., before switching careers and chasing his true passion...running. He has an extensive knowledge of the athletic footwear industry, and is an avid runner himself, as well as a cyclist.

Shape magazine awards the Mizuno Wave Ascend 5 trail running shoe as the "Best for Distance" shoe within the Trail Running category. The Running Network has published their 2010 Fall Shoe Review, in which both the Mizuno Wave Precision 11 and Wave Alchemy 10 running shoes are prominently featured. Both of these high performance Mizuno running shoes received excellent reviews from Running Network Shoe Guru, Cregg Weinmann, as well as tremendous wear-tester comments.
