by Eric Hills on September 7, 2011

September 4, Kauai Hawaii - In a tune up run for the Chicago Marathon in October, Mizuno's Tyler McCandless had a goal to win the Kauai Marathon in a time faster than the course record of 2:30.   Any male runners accomplishing the sub 2:30 time challenge would split the $15,000 time bonus.   Tyler's winning time was 2:23.19 and the only other sub 2:30 was last year's winner Michael Wardian in 2:26.19
