Runner Clara Grandt Signs Endorsement Deal with Mizuno

Mizuno USA announced today that they have signed an endorsement deal with runner Clara Grandt through 2013.  Grandt adds yet another elite name to the Mizuno Racing Team, which also includes 2010 USATF Long Distance Runner of The Year and 2010 US Half Marathon Champion, Antonio Vega, and Serena Burla, 2ndPlace finisher in the 2011 US Half Marathon Championships. 

Grandt graduated from West Virginia University in 2010 where she was a four-time NCAA All-American (1 cross country, 1 indoor track, and 2 outdoor track).  She ended her college career with afourth place finish in the NCAA 10,000m.  As a professional in her first 4 USA Road Championships, Grandt finished 4thin the US 20K, 5thin the US 10K, 6thin the US Half Marathon Championships and 4thin the US 15K Championship.  This past April in Boston, Grandt debuted at the marathon distance, finishing in a time of 2:29:54 (3rdAmerican) which was the second fastest US debut for her age.
