by Ron Wayne on January 14, 2013

Mizuno Racing Team Member, Craig Curley, was interviewed on the Competitor Radio Show by Bob Babbitt, a long time marathoner/triathlete who co-founded Competitor Publishing.  Competitor Publishing is part of the Competitor Group that owns many event properties, including the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series.  In the interview  you can hear about Craig's life growing up on the Navajo Nation, the largest Indian Reservation in the United States, his current crusade to represent Native Americans in his competitions and his accomplishments as a runner, such as using his high school teammate's worn out racing flats (too poor to buy shoes) to win the Arizona State High School Cross Country Championship. The first week in January, along with Billy Mills and several other speakers, Craig participated in 3 day runners forum promoting running to Indian Youth.  Bob Babbitt is writing an article on Craig that will appear in an upcoming issue of Competitor Magazine.
