I’ve been hearing positive things about the prophecy 3 as an efficient shoe for mid foot strikers who want a bit more cushion.. How is the road feel in these?

After years of running in traditional cushioned trainers, I converted to a mid-foot strike over two years ago. I wore several different more minimal shoes but ended up settling on Newtons for a year. Those are fine shoes, but I longed for something with a more full foot landing. I ended up back at my local running store and purchased a pair of the Prophecy 3′s. They have been fantastic. You can definitely run successfully and comfortably with a mid-foot strike in the Prophecy. The full-foot wave plates seem to provide pretty good fore-foot cushioning. I have found, though, that the Prophecy’s really do their best for me when I allow just a tiny bit of heel strike (not on heel but just after the mid-foot). Wow, the Prophecy’s really roll well then.
