Mizuno Brand Ambassador Rickey Henderson Inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame
Rickey Henderson, arguably baseball's best leadoff hitter ever, was inducted into Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame this weekend in Cooperstown, New York. In his first appearance on the ballot, Henderson received 94.8 percent of the votes cast by the Baseball Writers' Association of America, well ahead of the 75 percent required. His name appeared on 511 of 539 ballots cast. Having put together one of the most legendary baseball careers, Rickey Henderson will always be recognized as one of the finest Mizuno Brand Ambassadors in history.
"Now my journey is complete," said Henderson at the podium in Cooperstown. "I am now in the class of the greatest players of all time. And at this moment, I am very, very humbled."

for the majority of his professional career, including the years that he set the single season and all-time stolen base records. He, along with fellow inductee Jim Rice, are the 201st and 202nd elected players to the Hall, with Henderson being the 44th player in history to be elected in their first opportunity. Henderson played 25 years at the big league level for nine different teams, including the Oakland A's, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, San Diego Padres, California Angels, New York Mets, Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He won two World Series Championships, with the 1989 A's and the 1993 Blue Jays.
