Chad Collins Wins Miccoskee Championship

Mizuno Brand Ambassador Chad Collins capped off the final round of the Miccoskee Championship with a clutch 30-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole that gave him a two-stroke victory in the final full-field event on the Nationwide Tour. Collins relied heavily on his Grain Flow Forged Mizuno MP irons and a bag full of MP T Series wedges for the accuracy and consistency he needed to prevail for his second career title.

The victory was worth $112,5000 for Collins, pushing his season total to $386,014 heading into next week’s Tour Championship at Daniel Island, South Carolina. In addition to this win, Collins has three solid 2nd place finishes and six top-tens, putting him in 2nd place on the Nationwide Tour’s official money list heading into the last event of the season. Collins will be hoping to make some noise on the PGA Tour next year as this win has guaranteed his Tour card for 2010.
