Word of Mizuno's Performance Fitting System with Shaft Optimizer continues to spread. Midwest Golfing Magazine recently released their Fall issue which contains a nice two-page article on custom fitting, and more specifically the Performance Fitting System from Mizuno. The article gives a first person account of what happens during a fitting with Mizuno's innovative system, and also what sets the Mizuno Performance Fitting System apart from any other experience out there. As part of the article there are images of the M...

Mizuno player, Jonathan Byrd, won a three-man playoff with a hole-in-one on the fourth extra hole in the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Moments earlier, Byrd stood on the 18th green with Martin Laird and Cameron Percy as they discussed whether there was enough light to continue. I’ve not been to a tournament yet in America to find out what the reaction is to the Ryder Cup. I know my American friends will be just as generous in their reaction, though, as they were on the Monday night when we Europeans celebrated our nail-biting victory.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself at Celtic Manor. I’ve always said to everyone that I love Ryder Cup. I love that team atmosphere and match play. The atmosphere was fantastic, like a football stadium.Of course I’m envious of those that made it into the team, but I’m young and I’ve got at least 20 years of Ryder Cup chances in me, I hope.It just didn’...

This was a very hard team to get into. Everyone seemed to be playing great. I’m delighted to be back. We have a very strong squad and I’m looking forward to being part of it again, hoping to help Europe get the Ryder Cup back. I really missed not being in the 2008 team because of the wrist injury and I’m very excited. I thought I had a chance but there were a lot of world-class candidates.
I found out after 10 holes on Sunday at the Barclays, though. I was going along nicely, out in 28, then I found out – and I went to pieces! Talking to the othe...
