My Transitions Championship
by Luke Donald on March 22, 2012
My Transitions Championship win was very gratifying. I had no doubt that I would get back on track. Hard work always pays off.I’d got off to a slow one this year but you just keep on the path of what you need to do to keep on improving and trust what you are doing. It was always going to be tough to start as quickly as I did last year but it’s now nice to get back into the winner’s circle. The rewards are g...
Great Sadness Surrounded the End of a Remarkable Season
by Luke Donald on December 21, 2011
The loss of my father came at what was supposed to be a time of great joy for Diane and I. My dad died at the birth of our second daughter, so that produced a wide range of emotions. It was something you can never prepare for.Dad was immensely proud of my achievements. The year 2011 has been a break-out year for me, an amazing year – a season that, as a golfer, you always aspire to. It was nice for everything I have worked for to come to fru...
I thought I had a great chance to win the Fedex Cup.
by Luke Donald on October 1, 2011
Going into the week,I knew if I’d won the Tour Championship, the Fedex Cup was mine - one of my big goals for this season. I played well the first day, got myself into a great position but just struggled a little from there on. I didn’t really take my best game to Friday, Saturday and Sunday.I did a good job of keeping myself in with a chance come the end. In the end, though, I was a ...

I'm making every effort to improve my Open Championship record.I caught St. George's on two very nice days with not too much wind.My build-up to Sandwich next week has included playing Royal St. George’s last Thursday and Friday. Then I went on to Prince’s, Rye and Royal Cinque Ports. It was good preparation.I had a few friends with me so I could make it a little competitive. It was great fun and a good way to get in form for not only the Open but for the Scottish Open – held on a links course this time, Castle Stuart up near Inverness.I...
Luke Donald gets ready for the US Open
by Luke Donald on June 3, 2011
The second major of the season looms and I’m delighted to be in great form coming into the US Open.I do know a little about the Congressional course. I played there a couple of times in US Open qualifying back in 2002 when I wasn’t exempt. I got through there and that might bode well for me. So I’ve played a couple of rounds there and I remember most of the holes. The plan is, though, to go the week before the US Open, get in a few practice rounds and refresh my memory of the course. It’s a long course, a typical US Open course, ve...
