Mizuno’s Jiyai Shin completed her 11th win on the LPGA Tour after switching to Mizuno's new JPX-825 Pro irons. The ISPS Handa Australian Women's Open was held at Royal Canberra .
Shin co-lead into the final round but pulled away to win by 2 shots – confirming a return to form that was suggested by winning the 2012 Women’s British Open. Shin played Mizuno's MP Driver, JPX-825 Forged irons and Grain Flow Forged MP-T4 wedges.
Shin was delighted with the win and her Mizuno equipment which has added some recent length to her always accurate game, “With my new JPX-825 Pro irons, I'm now hitting a full club longer. I didn't expect to win so fast after changing irons, but the distance control was good and I adapted very easily .”
The win raises Shin to 6th position on the Rolex rankings – just slightly behind fellow Mizuno staffer Stacy Lewis, who holds the 3rd position.
