 Dramatic Win in Four Man Playoff Launches Donald Back to No. 1 in the World

Norcross, GA (March 19, 2012) – Mizuno Brand Ambassador Luke Donaldreclaimed his number one status on the Official World Golf Rankings Sunday with his playoff victory at the Transitions Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida, a spot he previously held for 40 weeks.  Donald, who claimed top honors with impressive iron play and an unmatched short-game, continues to display dominant accuracy and precision using his Mizuno MP-59 irons, MP T-11 wedgesand CLK Fli-Hi Hybrid.

Donald closed Sunday with a 5-under 66 and beat out three other players in the first playoff hole, en route to his seventh international win in two years.  Playing the par-4 18th for the playoff, Donald flushed a 7-iron just onto the green, leaving him 6 feet from the hole and the ensuing birdie putt.  The playoff victory was reminiscent of last May when Donald first captured the number-one position in the Official World Golf Rankings, with a playoff victory at the BMW PGA Championship.
