Lewis Impresses with Solid Iron Play for Second LPGA Title of the 2012 Season

Norcross, GA – (June 4, 2012) - Mizuno Brand Ambassador Stacy Lewis captured her second LPGA victory of the 2012 season, and the third of her career this past weekend, by winning the ShopRite LPGA Classic at the Seaview Resort in Galloway Township, New Jersey.  Lewis, who also won the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic in April, shot a 12-under 201 for the 54-hole event, winning by four strokes.  With this latest victory Lewis climbed to third on Rolex Rankings, becoming the current highest ranked American Golfer on the LPGA Tour.

Displaying poise and consistent play all weekend, Lewis claimed her second title of the season with the help of her Mizuno JPX-800 Pro irons, MP T-11 wedges, MP-650 hybridand fairway wood, and JPX-800 driver.  Lewis started the final round with a six shot lead that would swell to as many as nine, before finishing at even par for the day.

“We are excited to congratulate Stacy on her second LPGA victory of the 2012 season,” said Dick Lyons, Vice President and General Manager, Mizuno USA Golf.  “We are thrilled to support Stacy as she continues to emerge as one of the biggest stars in the game.  She is a wonderful ambassador for the Mizuno brand.”
