11 seems just like the 10- BIG let down!
I just got my 11 and they are NOT a Wave Inspire 9 comeback- the toe box is HUGE. Mizuno did not bring back the 9 by any stretch of the imagination. If you need a stability shoe and have a narrow foot (heel, midfoot and forefoot too) and need the shoe to fit accordingly , then this is NOT the shoe for you! Ran in these and feel the forefoot seam-rub people were talking about in the Wave Inspire 10 reviews. I will be returning the Wave Inspire 11 today! Sorry Mizuno! I'd shifted from Asics to you for the Wave Inspire 9 (nice, responsive shoe, inner ankle strip kept material snug around a narrow mid foot with just the right amount of widening for toes/forefoot (i.e., "foot print in sand" for a lean-footed person). I'm DONE waiting on Mizuno to bring back a good shoe that worked well for ECTOMORPH people with narrowish, lean feet (Google Ectomorph to see what that means).

Not anything like the 9
I really, really wanted to like these. I adore my Inspire 9's. However, these are so wide in the toe box that my foot slies all around, even with SuperFeet inserts. I tried going down a half size, but they were still so wide. They also feel stiff and seem to have less cushion in the forefoot that the 9's. Please bring back the 9! I am a Mizuno loyalist...going back to the Wave Rider 18 with an insert to provide the mild stability correction that I need and hope, hope, hoping!!

Women's Wave Inspire 11
Just received my shoes yesterday after two shipping delays, and these shoes are a big disappointment. They are not at all like the 9s, as hoped, which was a perfect shoe. The toe box is still too large, and the shoe itself does not fit securely; I had to stop running several times and try to tighten the laces because my foot was moving around in the shoe. I ordered two pairs because I was told the shoe would be like the 9...both will be returned!

I have been a long time Mizuno fan, and find the 11's lack support and just don't have the fit of previous models. I'm with other writers who think the wave inspire 8's were by far, THE best I've had. In fact, I had bought 6 pairs and am on my last two now. I don't like the fit of the new upper fabric, and hope for a return of the 8's

Not a good fit
I was so excited about these shoes! I started out with the wave inspire 8's a few years ago when I started running and they were awesome. I bought the 11's thinking they would be just as great, but the design just did not fit with my foot. Just wearing them around the house cut off circulation in my feet (they would go numb) because it was too tight around the middle of my foot (I even tried changing how I tied them - no help) and the toe box was HUGE. I was really disappointed because I was looking forward to having new shoes to run in. I returned them, and hope to find another shoe that fit my foot as well as the 8's. The shoe is good quality, but the design was definitely changed in this shoe compared to earlier versions.

Great features!
I recently bought this shoe as my previous shoe was over correcting- resulting in lateral foot heel pain. I wanted a stable shoe but cushioning throughout. This is is my first time running in Mizuno! Great cushioning, stability, and roomy toe box. Love these shoes !!!

Miss the 9's
I have used mizuno's for years and loved them. I bought 6 pairs of the 9's as I loved them so much. The 10's were a huge disappointment for me and the newest model does not seem to work either. I am very sad to move to another brand but these are too wide in the toe box and do not seem to have as much support as the earlier models. I hope these work for other runners but they are nothing like the earlier models which I loved. I do like the variety of color options but that doesn't do much good when you can't wear the shoes to run in. They are fine to walk the dogs in and wear around but I cannot use these to run in.

Great sole poor upper quality
I bought the Mizuno Inspire 11 when all my remaining pairs of Elixirs were no longer viable. I loved the Elixirs but after trying the Wave Inspire 11 I am very happy with the way they feel. However, I am upset that the quality on the mesh is so thin and flimsy. I have only had them 3 months and they are already tearing on both shoes much faster than any of my previous Mizuno sneakers. I hope this is something that will be corrected in future sneakers as I would like to stay with Mizuno Brand. However I am very disappointed that the sole is perfectly in good condition but seems shoe will not last much longer due to premature disintegration of the upper mesh.

Not the shoe for me...
I decided to make the switch from Brooks Adrenaline to these lighter weight shoes. They felt okay for the first couple days, but by the end of the week, my feet felt battered and sore. Parts of the shoe rubbed my foot the wrong way, and the toe box turned out to be way too roomy. I realized my mistake the moment I took out the insole and the was absolutely no arch support, with little cushioning in the forefoot. No wonder my feet hurt!
Went back to the store today to pick up my old, reliable Brooks.
Could be a great shoe for certain foot types, but definitely not a shoe with a lot of structure.

My toes go numb
I was super excited to get the 11's because I had worn out two pairs of 10's from marathon training. When I first started running in my new pair I just chalked up my numb toes as the shoe just needed to be broken in. After a few weeks of use I quickly realized that it was the shoes that were causing me such toe pain. I didn't want to bring them back to the store I purchased them at because I had worn them for a few weeks so I just bit the bullet and tracked down a pair of 10's on sale so I still had a pair to use. I have been a loyal Mizuno runner and want to still be...but I am very nervous that if they don't get it right I may have to jump ship:(

Will there be other color options for the ladies Mizuno Wave Inspire 12? There is only purple, pink or black now. Why can't these come is as nice a color as some of the other Mizuno models? Love the ones that fade from one color to another in the heel.
wandawoman on Nov 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Inspire 12 will release a new color in February 2016. this shoe will be mostly white with blue accent colors. At this moment, the Inspire 12 will not have the fading design like some of our other models.
I hope hope hope there is more cushioning in this shoe and it is more like the best shoe EVER the 9. The 10 was a major let down!
Swuam on Oct 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your feedback regarding the Wave Inspire's. The Inspire 11 will have a new mesh upper and is going back to synthetic overlays making the fit and feel of this shoe more comparable to older Inspire models.
Love the 11s but the 12s are giving me numbness in the toes? Is the toe box narrower in the 12s?
Sam I on Jan 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We are glad to hear you enjoyed the Inspire 11! The toe box is slightly more narrow in the Inspire 12 compared to the Inspire 11. If the toe box is too narrow, we would recommend trying the Inspire 12 in a wide width. Hopefully the extra width in the shoe will help with discomfort you are having in the regular width.

What shoe currently offered is most like the Wave Inspire 9? This one is not really comparable at all and that make is the perfect match for me.
ljh611 on Sep 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Inspire 12, which will be out October 5th, will be like older models of the Inspire. The Inspire 11 is the shoe we offer that is closest to the inspire 9.
Are the inspired 12's still due to be released in October. Just ending my wear of the 11's whcih I did not like - due to foot and toe issues. Loved the 9's, 10's were bearable but the 11's did not like at all. Just got a pair of brooks.
Cindy66 on Sep 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Inspire 12's release date is October 5th, 2015.
Is the sizing comparable to the Inspire 10? Mizunos are hard to come by in Denmark, so I have to order them online. Just want to make sure my size 42 Inspire 10 corresponds to a 42 in the Inspire 11. Thanks in advance
onklen on Aug 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The sizing for the Inspire 10 is comparable to the Inspire 11. Your size should be the same.

I have always worn the inspire in a narrow size. Is there another mizuno shoe that is compatible to the inspire? The catcher is I have to wear a narrow size. Why are there so few shoes to choose from in narrow & no cool colors like all the other shoes?
Mitzer on Jun 29, 2015

I am looking at the Wave Inspire 11, women's in size 11 or 11.5. Could you please let me know if the 11.5 is wider that the 11? Could you please let me know the overall sizes in both?
Holly8233 on Jun 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: As sizes increase, length and width will increase slightly. If you need a little extra room width wise, we recommend trying the 11 or 11.5 wide to see which provides the most comfortable fit for you.

I have been wearing the Inspire model for years. Unfortunately, the 11's have way shorter laces than any of the previous models. Around 1-2" shorter (compared them to an old pair). I can barely tie them! Any chance you will issue longer laces?
Rachmb on May 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We have addressed the lace length in this model and are happy to send you longer laces. Please contact our running consumer support team directly at 1-800-966-1211 or send an email to consumer.support@mizunousa.com for further assistance.
I'm an Inspire 9 lover- best shoe ever. The 10's were a disappointment. Was told that the 11's were more like the 9's. Not so. First 10 minutes were fine, but after that I had the same toe pain other's have described. Why can't we get the 9's back?
NanParke on May 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Our design team is working to evolve the Inspire design to meet the needs of all our consumers. If the Inspire 11's do not feel like a comfortable fit for your foot type, we recommend trying the Inspire 12's when they are released in October as they will have undergone a redesign. Please contact us closer to October for more specific details regarding the updates.
Hi What is the lifespan of a pair of Wave Inspire 11? Thanks Regards
fabfra on May 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Estimating the number of miles someone gets out of a pair of shoes is always difficult because there are so many variables involved such as your size, speed, biomechanics and predominant running surface. But generally speaking, our running shoes will get about 300-450 miles out of a pair. Some will get more miles than that; others less. The midsole cushioning for most of our shoes is foam and it gradually does break down with the repetitive impact from running.
I bought this shoe in Korea a while ago and now can't figure out what width I have. The label says FLV 1214 and J1GD154408. Is this enough information to determine the width? Thanks.
NNNN on May 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Please send an email to consumer.support@mizunousa.com with a photo of the tag on the tongue. An agent will be happy to try and determine the width from your photo.

lisakdteach on Jan 8, 2015

Are the waverunner 10s sized the same as the waverunner 11s? I just want to be sure that I get the right size.
Macywright on Jan 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Wave Inspire 11 has some changes made to the mesh material in the upper, the overlays, and the toe spring. While the length of the shoe should fit similar to the Inspire 10's, the changes made to the upper and toe spring may alter the way the shoe fits and feels on your foot. We recommend visiting a local running specialty store for a fitting in the new model to ensure you get the desired fit you are looking for in your new Inspire's.
