A stand bag with staff bag features !
I have been looking for a quality stand bag for years. After trying several different bags in the past, they all feel like toys compared to this one. At 7lbs. it's not a feather weight, but when you see the quality of the materials, and construction you will expect nothing less. With the straps adjusted correctly, the weight of the fully loaded bag feels no different than the light weight bags I've tried. The straps are comfortable on the shoulders and well positioned for easy on and off. If you've carried at all, you have suffered that shoulder strain from fumbling behind you for the left shoulder strap. This one seems to be well positioned every time. The legs deploy smooth and the bag is very stable in the stand position. The top handle is made of a hard rubber material, and is comfortable in the hand when setting the bag down. It is large enough for any size of hand, and even has finger groves molded into the bottom edge of it. The large right hand pocket holds rain hood, full rain suit, putting mirror, bandages and a couple sleeves of new balls without feeling over stuffed. The full length umbrella sleeve behind this pocket is a real professional touch, and a must for the Arizona monsoon season. Above this large pocket is a lined, and water resistant valuables pouch. The front pocket is roomy enough for balls, tees and accessory bag. The bottom edge of this pocket has an assist handle designed into it. Above this pocket is a magnetic flapped pouch, that easily holds a bottle of Advil and a range finder. On the left side is a pocket, about half the size of the large one on the right side, but still large enough for things like gloves, extra pair of bifocals, yardage books, extra score cards. Sandwiched between this pocket and the main frame of the bag, is a plastic lined drink pouch. The bag is large enough to carry a full set of clubs, with no binding of grips when removing or inserting clubs. A great bag with features not found on most stand bags. If I could change anything on this bag, and this is just personal taste, I prefer a 5 way top cuff over the 4 way cuff this one has. Also some sort of a light weight pad in the very bottom would muffle the sound of the clubs hitting the molded plastic bottom of the bag. Lastly the opening on the valuable pouch is a little small for retrieving items at the bottom of the pouch. Overall a terrific bag that I would recommend to anybody looking for a quality stand bag.
Finally a special thanks to Kris in Arizona for putting me onto this bag, a Mizuno rep. that really knows his product, and his business.
