Design Details

The JPX EZ Fairway woods are recognizable by their larger, confidence inspiring footprint and ability to produce a high flight - optimizing carry distance.

Tech Specs

  • SHOCK WAVE SOLE: Expands the COR area, especially lower on the clubface– delivering increased ball speeds for added distance. The increased mass of the head also lowers the center of gravity, maintaining high ball speeds directly off the turf.
  • Massive MOI design: The Shockwave sole is extended from the center of the sole to both the toe and heel. This adds weight to increase the MOI and also helps lower the JPX EZ Fairway woods center of gravity delivering unsurpassed forgiveness and high easy ball flight.
  • Larger footprint design:  The JPX EZ has an extended footprint design and an increased head size across all lofts from 3-7 wood to inspire confidence.
  • QUICK SWITCHTM adjustability: Allows four degree of loft movement per head to dial in launch trajectory.

Mizuno's brand reputation
Extremely forgiving, easy to hit from any lie and long.
The club is extremely forgiving. Easy to swing and hit the ball long; specially from the deck. Hitting from the tee feels like driver. Awesome solid sound. Best 3 wood I ever hit. A little expensive but it worth every penny!!

If I am not mistaken the last JPX -EZ 3 wood was at 192 cc. What is the size difference when comparing the last JPX-EZ 3 Wood and the new generation? In pictures the head appears to be smaller on the new woods. Thanks in advance.

Need a copy of the manual for my JPX-EZ 5 Fairway wood. Is a pdf available?

is a special tool needed to adjust the loft on jpx ez? If so, is it included? Thanks.
D C on Aug 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The adjustment is needed to adjust the loft, and the tool should be included with the purchase of these woods.
What does your swing speed have to be to utilize.the shock wave soul?
Longer on Jan 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There is no minimal swing speed to engage the shockwave sole. It reacts at the impact of the ball to create the highest possible ball speed off the face.
Why do the models show a 15, 18 and 21 loft if they are adjustable? Doesn't the adjustment have four loft adjustments anyway?
John A on Sep 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, all of the models are adjustable. The clubs are offered in three STANDARD lofts, and each one can be adjusted based of the standard loft. For example, the 21* standard loft can be adjusted up to 25* which the 18* and 15* would not be able to produce that particular loft so we offer multiple options.
Does this come in a 2 wood?
A shopper on Jun 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The JPX-EZ wood comes in a 15 degree 3 wood, but it can be adjusted to down to 13 degrees and up to 17 degrees, so if you adjust it to 13 degrees that would be close to a 2 wood loft.
Just purchased the new JPX EZ 3 wood I have a regular shaft but have a stiff shaft on my 2014 JPX EZ 3 wood. Swing speed just under 100 mph I hit the 2014 3 wood straight 220 ish should I get a stiff shaft for new 3 wood I'm getting a big draw to left.

I am looking to purchase a Fairway Wood as I just purchased the JPX 850 Driver and the matching Hybrid. How does the new JPX EZ fairway wood compare to the JPX EZ 850 Fairway Wood? What are the differences?
Dwat on Sep 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They are going to be a little more forgiving with a slightly larger club head than the JPX 850 woods.
