Upgrading from the MP-58's. I had the JPX-900 Tour's custom fitted through a local shop, this is something I highly recommend for everyone. I was fitted with the KBS C-Taper X stiff shafts. I was looking for something easy to hit with more forgiveness. However, I do not like looking at a thick topline. I must say I was a bit concerned with the appearance of the 900 Tours, very thin top line and a compact head. But after hitting them all worries have been dismissed. I find the 900 tours to be far more forgiving than my previous Mizunos. The combination of the proper shafts and technological advancements in head design have made these one accurate and forgiving set of clubs. I'm seeing better turf interaction with the sole of the club and less dispersion. It's hard to miss! The feel is not nearly as harsh as the MP-58's on mishits and the ball still tracks true but just a bit short. These just beg to be swung and feel great. There was no adjustment period needed. From the first swing on these were just money. I couldn't be more pleased with my decision to buy the 900 Tours!

Nailed it
Very good product. Feel is fantastic. They are not extremely forgiving but there is some help there. Most beautiful irons I've ever owned. Distances are the same as my S55. Very consistent ball flight and carry. I have these with C Taper 120 S and I can hardly stop hitting them at the range. Addictive.

I've always said, "They're tools not jewels" (Concerning golf clubs). I will probably cry the first time I have to hit them off of rocks in a tournament. Nevada golf, it eventually happens.

It is good to be back with Mizuno. Last set I owned was 20 yrs ago playing HS golf. Mizuno MP-14. I'll tell you right now these JPX 900 Tours feel as good, but are much more forgiving.

The JPX 900 irons are the easiest to hit the sweet spot with since my first set of Mizuno Tzoid Pro in the late 1990's. Look gorgeous perched behind the ball, easy to align to target and not being "nickel and dimed to death" for shaft upgrades or grip changes is a real selling point for me. The company turns out high quality clubs that speak to the high quality club makers they are. Enough said. Let's go play!

What is the handicap spectrum for these?
Dan W on Sep 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We have recently removed the handicap spectrum from our irons. We believe in visiting one of our authorized retailers and going through a fitting with our fitting system. That being said, the JPX-900 tour is a less forgiving iron, and will not have as much forgiveness as they other models.
Is the 900 Tour intended to be more forgiving than the MP25?
A shopper on Sep 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Overall, the MP 25 irons are probably the most similar current iron to the JPX 900 Tour's. The club head sizes are similar, with the tour being a touch more compact. The JPX 900 Tour has a slightly thinner sole and top line. The MP 25 has a better flow of weight distribution throughout the set, so since the tour heads are a touch smaller, you will have more forgiveness in the long and mid irons in the MP 25 compared to the Tour. The 8-PW in the Tour should provide more feel, and a penetrating ball flight that better players prefer. If you would like any additional information about the Tour irons, please feel free to let us know by emailing the link below.

In regards to a comparison between the forgivingness of the tour and forged compared to the MP-59s, what are your thought? Are the MP59s harder to hit than the JPX Tours? I am just looking for a little more forgiving better players iron and might mix the JPX Tours and Forgeded. Thanks!

JPX-900 Tour - Right Hand
JPX-900 Tour - Right Hand
JPX-900 Forged - Right Hand
JPX-900 Forged - Right Hand
BEST ANSWER: If you want to stick with a forged iron, I would recommend the JPX 900 Forged, it would be more forgiving than the Tour because there is more weight distributed towards the parameters of the club compared to your MP-59's. The amount of forgiveness this iron provides I believe it would be a great choice. Outside of a forged iron, do not count out the New JPX Hot Metal Irons as a great choice for you even though it is a cast iron. Overall, the top line and sole of the JPX Hot Metal iron is slightly larger due to the added perimeter weighting throughout the iron to produce more forgiveness on off center hits as compared to the JPX 900 Forged. Due to the fact that the Hot Metals were designed to be more forgiving than both the Forged and Tour versions of the 900 series, there is added offset to complement golfers who prefer this.

What is the successor to the mp 52 irons?
A shopper on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The successor to the MP-52 irons would be our MP-53 irons but those particular irons are discontinued at this time. With that being said, we are currently offering the next version of that series, the MP-54 irons.
Are you shipping dealer orders this week along with customers orders?
Jack l on Sep 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Custom and Stock orders for the new 900 series irons started shipping on September 12th, 2016. With that being said, due to the overwhelming response we have had and the large amount of pre-orders that were placed, arrival time will vary based on your particular location. We expect all custom and stock ordered to be shipped by September 16th, 2016.

I am a lefty upgrading from the MP-68 irons. Is the JPX-900 tour available for Left handed players as the most compatible upgrade from the Mp-68 irons for a lefty?

JPX-900 Tour - Right Hand
JPX-900 Tour - Right Hand
MP-5 3-PW DG STEEL RH
MP-5 3-PW DG STEEL RH
BEST ANSWER: We do not offer the JPX 900 Tour or the MP-5 irons in left-handed versions because of the high tooling costs, large commitment purchase, consumer request and the limited left-hand market for this product. With that being said, the MP-25 irons and the JPX 900 Forged irons would be a great option for you. Overall, the MP 25 irons are probably the most similar current iron to what you are used to playing. The club head sizes are similar, with the MP-68 being a touch more compact. For current irons that we offer, both the MP-25 and JPX 900 forged have slightly thinner sole and top line which players used to playing our older MP models prefer. The MP 25 has a great flow of weight distribution throughout the set, so since your MP-68 heads are a touch smaller, you will have more forgiveness in the long and mid irons in both the MP 25 and the JPX 900 forged.
I am currently playing MX25. What is the nearest comparison to current model? Thanks.
Daniel on Oct 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would strongly recommend the new JPX 900 Hot Metal or the JPX EZ to be a good choice as an upgrade from your MX-25 irons. Both will provide similar head sizes and even more technology, forgiveness, and distance.
is nippon 950 pro a standard shaft option for the forged and tour models?
A shopper on Oct 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The standard or "stock" shaft offering for the 900 tour is the Dynamic Gold AMT S300 and the stock shaft for the 900 Forged is the new Project X LZ 5.5. With that being said, we do offer the Nippon 950, and you would be able to get that shaft through a custom order with any of our authorized Mizuno retailers at no additional up charge.
will you re-introduce left handed blades any time in the future?
A shopper on Oct 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is difficult for us to offer most of our line in left hand due to the rising tooling costs, and the large commitment purchase that is required by our manufacturers. With the limited amount of left handed golfers in the USA, combined with where the majority of business comes from, it's tough to predict how forged, players style irons would sell in left hand. This is why we cannot risk having tons of product left over after the 2-3 year cycle of the Tour iron when it's time is up. Until left handed sales within the industry dramatically increase, our left handed offerings will most likely remain minimal. We do apologize for the inconvenience.
I'm currently playing the JPX 800 pro what would be the best iron set to replace my current set?
msacco1 on Oct 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The iron in our line up that would be most attractive to someone currently playing the JPX 800 Pro would be our new JPX 900 Forged. The new design of the 900 Forged has a more compact head size and thinner top line as compared to your JPX 800 Pro's. With the introduction of Boron in our JPX 900 Forged irons which is a very strong material allows our Grain Flow Forging process to deliver soft, solid, consistent feel.
Can I personalize my mp900's?
Colin C on Oct 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: With a custom order through any one of our authorized Mizuno retailers there is no up charge for any shaft or grip you choose in our line up of shaft offerings. You can also special order the loft, length, and lie adjustments to match your personal specifications. If that is not what you meant in terms of personalization, we do not provide paint fill or stamping on our irons, only wedges. With a custom order of wedges, you are able to have them stamped up to 6 characters and paint filled of our selected colors free of charge with the custom order.
Does the JPX-900 Tour come with a gap wedge?
Rick C on Oct 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The JPX 900 Tour does not come with a gap wedge, it is offered 3-PW. Most players that are interested in this iron tend to lean towards the Mizuno T7 wedges to compliment their set.

MP-25 3-PW PX STEEL RH
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you would be able to buy a combo set of the 900 Tour's and MP-25's through a custom order with any of our authorized Mizuno retailers. You would also be able to specify with that custom order any loft, length, or lie adjustments. Also, you could chose any shaft or grip in our line up at no additional up charge.
I'm currently playing the MP-25s and love them. What's intriguing to me about the JPX-900 Tours is a thinner topline, marginally softer feel and marginally smaller overall head size. What is the difference in actual head weight between the MP-25s and the 900 Tour?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am not able to provide exact head weights regarding our irons, with that being said, the MP-25's will typically be slightly heavier due to the larger sole and more weight distributed towards the bottom of the club. Overall, the MP 25 irons are probably the most similar current iron to the JPX 900 Tour's.

Can you show me the head size of JPX 900 Tour, MP-15, MP-25, MP-5? Can you compare the head size of each irons?
A shopper on Sep 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Both the JPX 900 Tour and JPX 900 Forged have a smaller face gauge than the MP-25 and MP-15 providing a more compact look at address. Also, the lower toe height gives a very sleek, modern, player's look.

JPX-900 Tour - Right Hand
JPX-900 Tour - Right Hand
JPX-900 Forged - Right Hand
JPX-900 Forged - Right Hand
BEST ANSWER: Yes, for the most part, the JPX-900 forged lofts are 1 to 3 degrees stronger, through out the set. The lofts are listed in charts below each iron model on the web site.
I currently play the MP 25 irons with KBS tour shafts I seem to need forgiveness in the 4 thru 6iron would the JPX tour 900s be a better solution for me?. I am a 2 handicap with a 98mph swing speed
g k on Sep 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The JPX-900 tour irons may be a little more forgiving, but they will actually appear to be a smaller iron than the MP-25. We recommend visiting an authorized dealer and hitting these irons, and you may also want to take a look at the JPX-900 forged.
